In conjunction with the visit of Pakistani Parliament delegation to St. Petersburg, Sergey Mikaelyan, director of the St. Petersburg branch of the Russian Business Council for Cooperation with Pakistan, met with the Head of National Assembly of Pakistan Mr. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
Mr. Mikaelyan presented St. Petersburg as one of the most investment-friendly cities in Russia. He noted that the city government, headed by Governor G. S. Poltavchenko, is looking forward to creating comfortable conditions and transparent regulations for investors and businesses.
Mr. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressed that St. Petersburg is of fundamental interest for Pakistani businessmen who were planning to expand into the Russian market. He also stated that he was interested in developing trade relations as well as cultural relations between St. Petersburg and Pakistan.
