“How to promote Russian goods to foreign markets?” was a topic of discussion at an extended meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation abroad

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation held an enlarged meeting of the President of the CCI of Russia Sergei Katyrin with representatives of the Chamber abroad and the heads of committees and associations of businessmen members of the Chamber.

The current meeting was held after the 7th Congress of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation held on 1st of March said Sergei Katyrin. The development of foreign trade and support of Russian business abroad was one of the key provisions of the CCI of Russia’s strategy until 2020. The priorities in this area were included: the effectiveness of representing the interests of Russian business abroad, business integration deepening of the world economic system, access to a new level of cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC), the CIS, the Union State, SCO, BRICS; strengthening the capacity of overseas offices CCI of Russia and business councils.

The main international asset of CCI of Russia was its representation abroad and Russian business councils with foreign countries. The CCI of Russia represents the interests of the Russian business community in Business Council of BRICS, Business Council of SCO, at Boao Forum for Asia, in the World Federation of Chambers of Commerce and in the Confederation of Chambers of Commerce of countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Today the CCI of Russia has 11 offices in 10 countries, 4 of them with the regional status. Representative offices cover its activities for more than 20 countries. Institute of honorable representatives is actively developing. Today there are 23 honorable representatives. The Chamber has plans to open a number of new missions in the medium term.

Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry Economic Cooperation Department Eugenei Stanislavov, speaking to the participants of the meeting noted that the best results possible with harmonious interaction of trade missions, diplomatic missions, business councils, representatives of the RF CCI, REC and opening overseas Russian trade houses. Today, Western politicians should listen to the signals from their business on the results of mutual sanctions, he said.

According to the director of the Department of coordination, development and regulation of foreign trade activities of the Russian Federation Ministry of Economic Development Denis Trefilov today there is a great potential for the promotion of Russian products which should be implemented.

The general director of REC Petr Fradkov said that on the SPIEF 2016 CCI of Russia and the Russian export center signed a cooperation agreement. The efforts of business councils operating under the auspices of the CCI of Russia and its foreign missions to promote Russian business in foreign markets were very important for the REC.

On cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation abroad, new possibilities of promoting Russian goods on foreign markets have told the executive director of the Russian-Austrian Business Council Anatoly Holovaty; Chairman of the CCI of Russia Committee for Entrepreneurship in the textile and light industry, the president of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry Andrew Razbrodin; Vice-President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce Suren Vardanyan; regional representative of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation in Eastern Asia (China, Beijing) Pavel Kudryavtsev; Honorary representative of the CCI of Russia in Switzerland Artem Kazakov.

Vice-Presidents CCI of Russia Vladimir Padalko, Dmitry Kurochkin and Elena Dybova made speeches at the working meeting with representatives of the CCI of Russia abroad.
