The Russian power engineering companies visited Pakistan.

Y.P.Sentyurin, state secretary, deputy minister of energy of the Russian FederationOn September 18-20th of 2013, under the invitation of Pakistani parties, russian business delegation visited Islamabad. The delegation was headed by Mr. Y.P.Sentyurin, state secretary, deputy minister of energy of the Russian Federation. The delegation included representatives of the largest Russian energy companies – JSC Novatek, JSC GPN, Jsc Inter RAO, JSC Rostechnologii, JSC Technopromexport, JSC Elektrotcentromontazh and others.

There have been extensive discussions with the Prime Minister’s adviser on economic affairs of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Sh.Tarin, negotiations with the leadership of a number of ministries and departments of energy unit, and Pakistani electricity and gas companies. The parties specifically discussed the future directions of possible bilateral cooperation in the energy industry sector.

The Russian delegation took part in the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Ministers of member countries participating in project for electricity transfer from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan and Pakistan (CASA-1000).

It was agreed to continue negotiations of the issues in matters concerning fuel-energy complex in regular meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, scheduled for autumn in Moscow.
