Pakistan delegation meets St. Petersburg business

On the 3rd of November in the office of St. Petersburg branch of the Business Council for cooperation with Pakistan (SPb BCCP) Sergey Mikaelyan, its Director, had a meeting with a delegation from Pakistan. The delegation consisted of 20 representatives of large Pakistan companies, which are willing to enter St. Petersburg market. Mr. Hadji Gulam Ali, President of Federal Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), headed the visit. Mr. Abdul Rauf Tabani, Head of the Russian-Pakistan Business Council, also attended the meeting.

Mr. Mikaelyan and members of the SPb BCCP work group got personally acquainted with the foreign businessmen, received information about Pakistan companies and production, which they offer to St. Petersburg. Russia-Pakistan business relations, volume of trade and investment possibilities were in focus of the meeting. Competitive advantages of Pakistan goods were also discussed.

 

During the discussion it became clear what prevented Pakistan companies from entering the St. Petersburg market. Mr. Mikaelyan promised to support and promote activities of Pakistan business in the North-Western region.

 

Tour around the historical center of the City followed up the official meeting. For some members of Pakistan delegation it was the first visit to St. Petersburg. Cultural heritage of the city fascinated its guests. After the tour delegates were invited to a networking lunch, where they met with St. Petersburg businessmen who are interested in new Pakistan partners. It was a significant step in establishing mutually beneficial partnerships.
